A New Chapter Begins
I'm excited to share that I'll be offering energy healing and beauty services from my new Downtown Los Angeles studio.
Since I still work full time in the fashion industry, I'll be sharing the studio and seeing clients part time. It feels like the perfect way to grow this next chapter organically.
Many people know me as a Senior Technical Designer and Pattern Maker for apparel brands and designers. Fashion has been my career for over 20 years, and I genuinely love it. I love solving problems, troubleshooting garments, perfecting fit, and helping designers bring their ideas to life. That part of my brain has always been analytical, and I truly enjoy the challenge.
What has become difficult isn't the work itself.
It's finding companies that align with my values.
Over the years I've joined organizations that weren't transparent about the position, where the culture wasn't healthy, and the people weren’t the nicest human beings. Every time I thought I had found the right fit, I felt like I was back at square one.
Eventually I had to stop and ask myself a difficult question.
"What if I'm being redirected instead?"
Instead of continuing to chase something that no longer feels aligned, I've decided to put more energy into the work that has been quietly growing beside my fashion career.
Helping people has always been the common thread throughout my life. Whether I was solving technical problems in fashion or holding space for someone during an energy healing session, the intention has always been the same.
Today also happens to be 7/7, which feels symbolic in many ways. This morning I had a wonderful conversation with an old friend / colleague that I haven't spoken with in almost ten years. Somehow it didn't feel like ten years had passed at all.
Moments like these remind me that we're often exactly where we're supposed to be.
To everyone who has quietly supported me, encouraged me, shared my work, believed in me, or simply checked in to see how I'm doing, thank you.
You know who you are. Your encouragement means more than you probably realize.
Right now, I'm choosing to trust the process instead of forcing it. I'm naturally analytical, so I tend to search for answers and strategies. But sometimes the greatest strategy is allowing the Universe, or whatever higher power you believe in to gently guide the next step.
So that's exactly what I'm doing.
